Ok, if you have purchased land recently, you know that the cost to buy land alone is almost as much as buying a fully built house! According to Google, an acre of land can range between $100,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 for a SINGLE acre!

When Walt and Roy started the ever-secret" Project Florida," they were able to purchase the land that would become our favorite Florida theme park... for $80 an acre! Assuming that Orlando didn't have the huge increase of people and the housing market stayed the same -- those same acres would be $873 an acre.... I'd still consider it a steal! It's amazing to think that not only was Walt able to purchase the land to build Walt Disney World for pennies. A 2011 study valued the Walt Disney World property at $1.3 billion - that means its worth per acre was $52,000!!!
