If you're counting down to the holidays at Walt Disney World, Epcot might just be the most unique and culturally rich experience you can find. With the International Festival of the Holidays, Epcot transforms into a global celebration of traditions, flavors, and festive fun—all without ever leaving Florida!

🌍 A Passport to Holiday Traditions

The beauty of the United States is its diversity, and Epcot channels that spirit by offering a glimpse into how holidays are celebrated around the world. From Thanksgiving through December 30th, the festival brings international cheer right into our backyard. Think storytelling, seasonal treats, live performances, and more—all inspired by cultures across the globe.

🚜 Living with the Land: Holiday Lights Edition

Okay, confession time (please don’t throw tomatoes): I’ve never been on Living with the Land. I always assumed it was a filler ride. But lately, I’ve heard rave reviews about its holiday lights overlay, and now it’s officially on my December must-do list. Who knew agriculture could be so festive?

🎶 Candlelight Processional: A Star-Studded Tradition

One of Epcot’s most beloved holiday offerings is the Candlelight Processional. Held nearly every night at the America Gardens Theatre, this moving retelling of the Christmas story features a celebrity narrator, a 50-piece orchestra, and a mass choir. Showtimes are typically at 5:00 PM, 6:45 PM, and 8:15 PM.

This year’s lineup includes Leslie Uggams and Marlee Matlin, and if you’re in the park on December 27 or 28, you’ll get to hear the story from none other than Brie Larson—yes, Captain Marvel herself!

🍪 Holiday Kitchens & Cookie Strolls

If you’re a fan of the Food & Wine Festival, you’ll love the Holiday Kitchens. These booths serve up festive bites from around the world, letting you taste your way through the season. And don’t miss the Holiday Cookie Stroll—a sweet scavenger hunt where you collect cookies from various booths. Pro tip: share them! These cookies are massive, and sharing is the best way to try them all without a sugar crash.

🕵️ Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition

For a bit of interactive fun, grab a map and join Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt. It’s a delightful way to explore the World Showcase and learn about holiday customs. Just a heads-up: if you’re sipping your way around the world, spotting Olaf might get a little trickier!

🌟 New Attractions, New Traditions

With the addition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, Epcot is evolving—and so are its holiday offerings. I can’t wait to see how these new experiences blend into the seasonal magic.

Epcot during the holidays is more than just a theme park—it’s a celebration of global unity, joy, and tradition. Whether you're tasting festive treats, enjoying a musical retelling of Christmas, or hunting for Olaf, there's something magical waiting around every corner.

What’s your favorite Epcot holiday tradition? Let’s keep the countdown going!
