🎄 38 Days to Go! 🎄Ok, now it’s time for the most important question of all… When does the Christmas season actually start?

I saw a meme the other day that said, “I start decorating when Disney starts decorating,” and let me tell you—my eyes got huge. I turned to my husband and declared, “This is the new plan.” His response? The ever-predictable eye roll 🙄. But it did spark the age-old debate: When is too early to deck the halls?

Historically, Disney Parks have been one of the most magical places on Earth, starting on November 1. Like clockwork, Halloween disappears overnight and—poof—Christmas trees, wreaths, and twinkling lights take over. But this year, Disney announced that guests shouldn’t expect to see the full holiday transformation until Sunday, November 2. Cue the dramatic sigh 😔.

Still, I’m holding out hope that a little pixie dust will sneak in early. Maybe a tree or two will magically appear on November 1? Cough cough—I’m looking at you, Magic Kingdom.

Now, I get it—November 1 might be “too soon” for some people. But Disney peeps? We know better. November 1 is the unofficial official start of Christmas in the parks. The Christmas merchandise is already popping up at the parks and online at shopDisney, so clearly the elves are working overtime.

🎁 Key Dates to Know:

  • November 2: Holiday decorations should begin appearing in the Disney parks.

  • November 7: First Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party—expect full holiday splendor in Magic Kingdom!

  • November 14: Official start of the holiday season across Walt Disney World - The rest of the parks and resorts should be looking very festively jazzy!

  • November 28: Epcot’s Festival of the Holidays kicks off, bringing global traditions to life

So let’s recap: decorations start November 2, parties begin November 7, the “official” season launches November 14, and Epcot joins the fun on November 28. Because of course, Disney can’t just pick one date. That would be too easy.

So tell me, Disney fam—how are we supposed to decide when the season really begins?

Are you Team November 1, ready to bust out the garland and peppermint lattes the second Halloween ends?

Or

Are you Team After Thanksgiving, holding strong until the turkey’s been carved?

Drop your vote in the comments or tag me in your holiday prep pics—I want to see those twinkle lights and Mickey wreaths in action! 🎅✨
