56 Days to go!
🎉 56 Days to Go!!! Let’s Talk Character Meet and Greets at Epcot!
One of my absolute favorite things about the East Coast Disney parks is the sheer number of character meet and greets scattered across so many different locations. If you’re on the hunt for a favorite character and don’t spot them in one park—don’t worry! Chances are they’re waiting to meet you in another.
✨ Epcot is a hidden gem when it comes to character encounters. You’ll find so many beloved characters in settings that match their stories—like Elsa and Anna in Norway or Mulan in China. It’s a magical way to meet your favorites in their “native habitats”!
🧭 A Quick Tip for Spotting Characters
During my visits to Walt Disney World’s Epcot, I’ve noticed that characters don’t typically roam freely like they might in other parks. If you see one walking, they’re likely heading to their designated meet-and-greet spot. That’s your cue to ask their accompanying Cast Member where they’re headed—or better yet, check the My Disney Experience app (make sure you’ve switched to Walt Disney World mode!) for real-time updates.
Also, a friendly reminder: some characters have very short appearance windows or only come out during special events, so that app is your best friend for planning ahead!
📱 Why You Need the App
Yes, I’m mentioning it again—but seriously, the Walt Disney World app is a lifesaver when it comes to character meet-and-greet schedules. It’ll help you track who’s out, where they are, and when you can meet them. Some characters listed below may not be available every day, but they’ve all made appearances in the past—and could again!
🌍 Epcot’s Character Meet and Greets by Area
Epcot is divided into four distinct neighborhoods. Here’s a breakdown of who you might meet in each one:
🎈 World Celebration
Pretty much as soon as you walk into Epcot, you can start to find the characters that we all know and love! Typically, here you will find the classic Fab Five.
Mickey Mouse
Minnie Mouse
Goofy
Figment
Mickey and Friends (Disney Visa Cardholder exclusive)
Daisy Duck

🚀 World Discovery - This is a new learning for me! I will be on the lookout for him next trip! I also wonder if there are ever any other Galaxy of the Guardians wandering around?
Star-Lord (aka Peter Quill)
🌿 World Nature
I am sooo excited to meet Moana near the World of Water! On the last visit, we found her at Animal Kingdom!

🌐 World Showcase
The coolest part of the World Showcase is seeing the characters in the native countries... or in Donald's case, wearing a sombrero! LOL
It's also so fun to see Mary Poppins in England and encounter Alice. Though beware! We once got in line to visit with Alice, and well, we realized we were at the wrong end, so we went to the back. Then, Alice swapped, which was the start and end of the line!

✍️ Pro Tip: Signature Collecting

Don’t forget your autograph book (or designated signature location) and a good pen!

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned Disney adventurer, Epcot is a must-visit for character meet and greets. With 56 days to go, now’s the perfect time to start planning your magical encounters!
